In the simplest terms, Acheron is a letter to the past four years of Theo's life. It both reflects and refracts his journey as a transgender writer who was closeted to the people he called his family at the time of writing this. At the same time, Acheron tells the stories of different relationships; familial and friendly, healthy and not, and explores how these relationships affect us and our perception of the world around us.
